This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
About Kirsten Carlson
She's an American living on the edge of the Black Forest in Germany. Kirsten works in watercolors, scratchboard, graphite and colored pencils, as well as digital; illustrating sea creatures big and small, from crawling starfish to drifting plankton that produce up to half the oxygen we breath. While diving with Weddell Seals in Antarctica, she realized what she loves most about being both scientist and artist is sharing her explorations of the underwater world with curious and adventurous children and grown ups. She would like people who live nowhere near an ocean (like her growing up in Kansas City, Missouri) to feel her connection with these amazing sea creatures; from diving in Antarctica to rescuing plankton on a beach in Hawaii.
